Brimming With Creative Living Ideas

George Town, 26 January 2019 – EVEN before they graduate, interior designing students from UOW Malaysia KDU Penang University College are already showcasing their portfolios.

Their work ranging from draft sketches, digital illustrations, construction material samples to model buildings were on public display during the Evolve Final Year Exhibition at Weld Quay.

Themed ‘Creative Meets Living, Innovative Meets Future”, the two-day exhibition featured final-year projects by 16 students who are pursuing a Diploma in Interior Design and Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Architecture course.

Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow who launched the exhibition said the state welcomed any input on its Penang 2030 Vision.

“It is vital to start planning now for a family-focused, green and smart state. The Penang 2030 Vision may be some 10 years away but technology is evolving each second and in the blink of an eye, we will be in 2030 already,” he said.

Chow said the exhibition was a good platform to have views and ideas of youths to be heard. Also present was UOW Malaysia KDU Penang vice- chancellor Dr Brian Charles Imrie.
