The UOWM Fun Colour Run 2024 transformed UOW Malaysia’s Glenmarie Campus into a playground of colour, movement, and joy as participants came together on 13th October for a memorable day of fitness and fun. Organised by the Professional Accountancy Centre (PAC) Club with support from the Student & Alumni Centre (SAC), the event aimed to bring the university community together while promoting a healthy, active lifestyle.
Starting the day on an energised note, the Performing Arts Club (PARTS) led a dynamic warm-up session, getting everyone ready to embrace the day’s activities. Soon after, the official flag-off was conducted by Deputy Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Hon Wei Min, Head of the Professional Accountancy Centre Mr Chan Tze Kang, and PAC Club Advisor Mr Daniel Lee Onn Mun. Their involvement set an inspiring example, demonstrating support for initiatives that encourage students and staff to stay active and connected.
As the run began, participants navigated a course lined with vibrant colour powder stations that added a sense of festivity and joy to each checkpoint. Laughter and cheers echoed as runners and walkers alike enjoyed the colourful bursts, creating a unique shared experience. The sense of teamwork and encouragement among participants was evident as friends and fellow runners motivated each other to keep going, making the day feel more like a celebration than a race.
The PAC Club, with their hard work and careful planning, alongside SAC’s support, crafted an experience that will be fondly remembered by all who participated. The Fun Colour Run was more than just an event; it was a testament to UOW Malaysia’s commitment to creating an engaging and inclusive campus culture that prioritises well-being and togetherness.
