UOW Malaysia (UOWM) organised events focused on community engagement and social responsibility.

Great Vision Charity Association Grand Iftar (Breaking of fast): On March 14, 2025, SHTCA collaborated with the Great Vision Charity Association to host a Grand Iftar at the Mirabelle and Saver Restaurants. The event, themed “Honouring Tradition, Embracing Community,” aimed to foster unity and compassion during Ramadan. Teenagers from PPR Kampung Baru Hicom were invited to enjoy a special iftar meal prepared and served by SHTCA students and staff. The collaboration highlighted the role of hospitality in bringing people together and UOW Malaysia’s commitment to social responsibility.

Ramadhan Bubur Lambuk (Spiced Porridge) Distribution: On March 21, 2025, UOWM organised a Bubur Lambuk Distribution event as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative. The event aimed to promote community sharing, compassion, and cultural appreciation during Ramadan. Chef lecturers and student volunteers prepared 1,000 packs of bubur lambuk. The distribution took place at the UOW Malaysia lobby and extended to various community locations, including mosques, schools, NGOs, and the general public. The event fostered a sense of community service and teamwork among students and was well-received by the recipients.

Both events demonstrated UOW Malaysia’s commitment to community engagement, social responsibility, and celebrating cultural traditions.
