On Thursday, 23 July 2026, students from the Bachelor of Computer Science (Hons) program at UOW Malaysia KDU Penang University College had the opportunity to visit Zebra Technologies (Bayan Lepas), a global leader in enterprise technology solutions that empower businesses through innovations in data capture, automation, and intelligent connectivity.

The visit began with a warm welcome by Mr Yam Chew Chong (Director of Customer Support), followed by an HR sharing session with Ms Ong Lay Imm (People Partner Advisor), Ms Sharmila Raj (Talent Acquisition Partner) and Mr Wong Thoon Liang (Senior Manager Technical Support). They introduced students to Zebra Technologies’ company profile, business operations, and the current technology industry landscape.

Students then explored the Zebra Experience Centre, where Mr Wong shared insights into how Zebra’s products and solutions function, including technologies that are already part of everyday life.

The programme continued with an office tour led by Ms Ong and Ms Sharmila, giving students a closer look at the workplace environment. A special thank you also goes to Mr Muhamad Hafiz Bin Hawi (Talent Acquisition Coordinator), for his kind coordination and support, ensuring a smooth and well‑organised visit.

This industry engagement provided an excellent platform for students to connect classroom knowledge with real‑world practice, gain insights into career opportunities, and better understand the skills and expectations of the technology sector.
