The UOW Malaysia’s School of Hospitality, Tourism and Culinary Arts had been graced by the presence of 35 students from Five Best Skill Training Centre, accompanied by seasoned executive chefs from the Chef Association of Malaysia 2016, for an educational rendezvous on the 7^th of September 2023.

This was an opportunity for the students to discover the future of this field, gain insights from the academia of UOW Malaysia and had a practical exposure to our School of Hospitality, Tourism and Culinary Arts.

It was a compelling visit in which they were invited to indulge in a delectable three-course lunch meticulously crafted by our talented culinary arts chefs and students. This culinary experience showcased the skills and dedication of our aspiring chefs in producing the best quality cuisine.

Soon, the ice-carving demonstration by UOW Malaysia’s Executive Chef Hamir became the highlight of the visit as he transformed a block of ice into a piece of art, leaving the audience in awe of his mastery.

As the group was taken on a campus tour, they were captivated by the campus’ kitchen facility as it was equipped with cutting-edge technology and tools. A conducive environment with complete facility was provided in order to better nurture the students’ culinary skills.

Overall, students from Five Best Skill Training Centre and seasoned chefs of Chef Association Malaysia were pleased with the enriching rendezvous as they were able to glimpse into the imposing education that UOW Malaysia has to offer. May these young minds are encouraged to pursue their dreams and embark on a rewarding journey in the field of hospitality and culinary arts.
