Promoting healthier smiles and greater awareness, 5 students from the Specialised Public Relations class of the Bachelor of Communication (Honours) Public Relations program at the School of Communication and Creative Arts, UOW Malaysia, organised a student-led campaign, “Your Smile, Our Passion.” Held at the university’s Glenmarie campus on 1 April 2026, the initiative focused on encouraging preventive dental care among students and staff.
In collaboration with Ooi & Khor Dental Surgery, the campaign combined education with engagement. Participants benefited from free dental check-ups, an informative talk by a professional dentist, and interactive activities designed to make oral health both accessible and engaging.
The booth drew 67 visitors, comprising UOW Malaysia students and staff, who actively participated and took steps towards better oral care. More than just an event, the campaign showcased how strategic communication can shape attitudes and inspire positive health behaviours.
Part of UOW Malaysia’s Healthy & Green Business Day, organised by the School of Business, the initiative highlighted the wider role of public relations—not just in promoting brands, but in building healthier, more informed communities.
