MSc student Gautheman Kurup, from the School of Engineering, University of Wollongong Malaysia emerged top presenter at the International Conference on Advanced Engineering Materials & Composites (ICAEMC) organised by University Putra Malaysia (UPM).

The conference featured a series of keynote speakers from international research centers and the industry, along with technical sessions, panel discussions, and poster presentations. The event gathered distinguished researchers, industry professionals, and academic experts to discuss the latest innovations, research findings, and applications in the field of advanced engineering materials and composites.

Gautheman Kurup, under the supervision of Ts. Dr. Nishata Royan A/P Rajendran Royan, presented a paper titled “Effect of Compatibiliser and Plasticiser on the Mechanical Performance of PLA/Tapioca Bio-composites” at this conference. He received the Best Presenter Award for his outstanding work. This research paper is part of University of Wollongong Malaysia’s ongoing research in the field of natural fibre reinforced polymer composites (NFRPC).
