The School of Hospitality, Tourism and Culinary Arts (SHTCA), UOW Malaysia hosted two career talks focused on international opportunities for students.

Jobs Kreate J1 and Cruise Internship Program Career Talk: On 14 March 2025, a career talk introduced students to internship opportunities in the United States via the J1 Internship Visa Program, and on international cruise lines. Representatives from Jobs Kreate detailed the eligibility criteria, application procedures, required documentation, and benefits of these programs, highlighting the cultural, professional, and financial advantages of international internships.

Speedwing International Placement Career Talk: On 28 March 2025, the Speedwing International Placement Career Talk informed students about international internship and employment opportunities, particularly in the United States, through Speedwing Singapore. Speakers discussed potential industry partners, application requirements, financial preparations, and shared real-life experiences from past participants.

Both career talks aimed to expand students’ global career horizons by providing information and inspiration for pursuing international experiences.
