From 27 July to 5 August 2025, 46 participants from the Glenmarie and Penang campuses embarked on a 10-day educational and cultural journey to the International Management Institute (IMI) in Switzerland.
The highlight was the Current Trends in Tourism and Hospitality (CTTH) module, where students presented in groups, exchanged ideas with peers, and received valuable feedback from IMI leaders, including former Academic Dean Mr Gareth Curie, current Academic Dean Ms Matina Gatsou, and CEO Mr Iulian Virlain.
A certificate ceremony and sharing sessions capped the academic element, but what truly set the trip apart was the immersion: celebrating Swiss National Day with locals, tasting handmade cheese at the Appenzell Cheese Factory, exploring Zurich and Interlaken, and standing before the awe-inspiring Rhine Falls. Every moment blended study with culture, giving students fresh perspectives on global hospitality and a deeper appreciation of Swiss traditions.
