Future-ready and fuelled by innovation!

22 Computing students from UOW Malaysia KDU Penang immersed themselves in an electrifying two-day experience at the 2025 Micron & UOW Malaysia KDU Penang IT Summer Bootcamp on 9–10 September 2025.

Hosted in collaboration with Micron Memory Malaysia Sdn Bhd (Batu Kawan), the bootcamp combined AI applications, technical sharing sessions, and hands-on learning that bridged classroom theory with cutting-edge industry practice.

The highlight? A thought-provoking keynote by Mr Clement Pang, IT Director at Micron, titled “Are You AI-Ready Graduates?” — a wake-up call for tomorrow’s digital leaders.

Students explored the Micron Intelligence Assistance (MiA) demo, AR & VR showcases, and IT network sessions, rounding off with guided tours of Micron’s Data Centre and Manufacturing Support Centre. The “Ask Me Anything” segment sealed the experience — sparking insightful conversations on machine learning, automation, and smart manufacturing.

It was more than a bootcamp — it was a glimpse into the future of tech talent!
