The Songkran Water Festival 2026 was celebrated with great enthusiasm on 16 April at the Batu Kawan Campus of UOW Malaysia KDU Penang University College, bringing together 85 students and staff for a vibrant showcase of Thai culture and tradition. The event aimed to promote cultural awareness while fostering unity and inclusivity within the campus community, creating a lively platform for engagement and shared experiences.

The celebration featured a range of interactive activities, including traditional water-splashing sessions and engaging games, allowing participants to experience the spirit of Songkran—a festival symbolising renewal, cleansing, and new beginnings. The atmosphere was filled with energy, laughter, and music, as participants embraced the festive traditions with enthusiasm. The event concluded on a high note, leaving attendees with lasting memories and reinforcing a strong sense of community, cultural appreciation, and togetherness.
