The Deputy Chancellor of UOW, Mr Warwick Shanks recently visited the UOW Malaysia campus in Glenmarie. They were part of a delegation that included 20 members from the Country Women’s Association of New South Wales (CWA). The group received a comprehensive tour of the entire university. The visit showcased the university’s specialties and offered an overview of the school’s academic offerings to the guests.

One of the delegation members named Ruth from CWA also expressed her enjoyment of the university tour. She found the sharing about the respective schools to be very insightful and interesting.

Lecturers from the respective schools also shared their experiences and provided a brief overview of the school’s details, including relevant information from the Malaysian campus context. The delegation had the opportunity to further engage with the schools during the session.

They were treated to a special lunch prepared by the staff and students of the School of Hospitality, Tourism, and Culinary Arts (SHTCA).

Chef Eddie, the chef lecturer of SHTCA, mentioned that they were happy to have opportunities to showcase the skills and facilities of our students and chefs to the delegation. He added that the guests were very impressed by the services.

The visit, which concluded with a special lunch, made their experience a memorable one.
