At UOW Malaysia, the Certificate in Business Communication (CBC) program is more than just a course—it’s a launchpad for creativity and innovation. During the May 2024 semester, students from the “Introduction to Branding” class took on an exhilarating challenge by participating in the smart Malaysia x UOW Short Video Competition, one of the campus’s most exciting events, which featured a total of 18 participating teams.

Muhammad Nur Isyraff Bin Noh, Shaquille Nail Dell Bin Shahnaz Khan, and Yee Keat Wai, under the guidance of lecturers Ms Karen Poon Yean Peng and Mr Soh Wuu Shyong, rose to the occasion by crafting a compelling video that showcased the cutting-edge features and environmental benefits of electric vehicles. Their dedication paid off as they were the only winning team from a certificate level, proudly claiming SECOND PLACE in the competition, which included a prize of RM4,000!

This impressive achievement not only boosted the team’s confidence but also ignited their ambitions for future endeavours. Yee expressed enthusiasm for participating in more competitions, while Shaquille shared an inspiring reflection on perseverance, stating, “Nothing is impossible if you put your mind to it.”
