Dr. Tan Kock Lim is a program leader, senior lecturer in School of Business, UOW Malaysia KDU Penang University College. Currently, he is lecturing Finance, Banking and Business subjects. He has published various papers in Journal and attended various conferences. He is an active researcher on organizational excellence. Before Joining UOW Malaysia KDU Penang University College, he was a lecturer in University Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR), Kampar, Perak for 5 years. He has gained many leadership and management skills.

Prior to joining academic, Dr Tan was a banker for more than 10 years holding various supervisory position. With these experiences and qualifications, he will be able to share his experiences and knowledge during his lecture and able to guide his students in their research.

Dr. Tan completed his Doctor in Business Admin (DBA) from University of Sains Malaysia (USM) in 2019. He also successfully gained a scholarship from the Malaysian Government during his doctorate degree. He holds a Master degree in Business Administration (MBA) from University of Sains Malaysia (USM) in 2012 and a Bachelor of Business Administration with Honour (Major in Finance) in 2008 from Open University Malaysia (OUM). Over years, Dr. Tan has gained valuable teaching experiences in tertiary education.

Besides, Dr Tan has obtained his Certified Credit Professional (CCP) – Business (2007) and Certified Credit Professional (CCP) – Consumer (2008) awarded by Asian Institute Of Chartered Bankers (AICB).

Dr. Tan is a member of Associate membership of Asian Institute of Chartered Bankers (AICB).
