UOW Malaysia KDU has provided me the space to gain essential and substantial knowledge as an undergrad before joining into corporate. The course structure broaden my view and excite the interest of me to become an engineer, more importantly the course syllabus focused on engineering fundamental which has helped me to excel in my career.

UOW Malaysia KDU Penang University College had one of the best internship programs around and I had the opportunity to work with one of the Software House start ups for 6 months. After completed my degree in UK, I continue to work with the same Software House Company for the next 7 years. I started off as junior developer and move up to IT Project Manager. The experienced gain has catapult me to project manage Global Enterprise Projects in Plexus such as Global HRMS Systems namely Workday, which successfully deployed globally within 6 months.

The School and lecturers were very helpful and instrumental in working closely with me to ensure that I prioritize which subjects that are considered core modules that should be taken first. As such, I found myself working in Intel as a full time Technical Support Agent while studying for my Higher Diploma & then a Degree in Computer Science. I was immediately approached and got hired into Dell as a Software Engineer right after I did my final Thesis Papers right before I graduated with a Degree.

I was given exposure various fields of Engineering study through the subjects and electives incorporated into the programme I enrolled for. This has been particularly useful for me as I am working in a slightly different field from my studies. Besides that, many of the lecturers for this course were industry professionals who were able to relate our studies to practical applications in the industry. As the country advances in development and infrastructure, the demand for energy continues to increase. Working in the power industry provides me with the opportunity to contribute to the development of the country.

Making connections is what I deemed important from my time in UOW Malaysia KDU Penang University College. Education comes naturally when studying but being exposed to many big names and community in the industry has helped me establish connection outside of college life. With given career, I provide services to indie game developers in terms of art. Outside of work, I am known for my contributions to various activities from music to help spreading kendama culture to Northern Malaysia.

Well I did compare with my friends in other Academy and surprisingly UOW Malaysia KDU’s library is way bigger, and others academies doesn’t even have a proper lunch area. As an I.D. student the environment for study is absolutely excellent. Previously I was attracted by the facilities of the Campus and the different courses student, because in the future they could be my target clients. In my point of view studying in UOW Malaysia KDU you could meet different line people in society instead of art school. The environment is very nice and the lecture also really helpful for student to reach their material to study. Even at public holiday we can contact the lecture for extra tutor. This thing is really helpful for us to do more research on our assignment. Talking about UOW Malaysia KDU Helping my Career, they did help us with doing some internship on big company such as Dell ( penang island), and other big company on penang island or even Singapore. They have a program lead us to public seminar and contribute to research development in penang island. Also one more thing, the lecture help us to find a job, and recommend us under UOW Malaysia KDU Penang University College.

I love this campus for how it built the momentum of learning, and groom talents. My friends & myself often crash the foyer, library, and even canteen for group discussion & studies. Dynamic learning atmosphere is in every corner of the campus. The campus also prepared supportive platform to exercise creativity. Numerous activities were designed and we were involved from Brainstorming to Execution. I’ve fetched a few qualities that have proven to be very crucial in my career, such as in-depth research & team-work ability.

Firstly, I would say UOW Malaysia KDU Penang University College is the best art college in Penang; is because it has the most complete facilities and studios for art student, provided with the quality equipment to use anytime. Secondly, I love the environment and how lecturers interact with their student as their school mates. Throughout the 3 years in college, I would like to say thanks to my lecturer for expending so much thoughts and care on our studies and results. That made me master the basic knowledge of being an interior designer before I attach to any company.

The internet labs and library are very well equipped and library private study rooms provided a very good study environment. Working as an engineer now in Intel, I have the opportunity to be part of the Research and Development (R&D) of the world latest processor’s design team, which will eventually contribute to the technology world in the future. Besides that, I have also joined UOW Malaysia KDU Penang University College as a part-time lecturer so that I can inspire the next generation future engineers and expose them to the industry’s expectation like what I was given by UOW Malaysia KDU Penang University College before.

Practical learning and well-structured coursework led me to who I am today. UOW Malaysia KDU Penang University College offers more practical studies than theory-learning. All the subjects at the School of Computer Science are based on industry needs and up-to-date with current situations.

The lecturers are the backbone of the students’ learning process, showing us the right path. All the lecturers are very practical, expert and willing to help me all the time. They trained me to think critically, solve problems and not just spoon feed me or made me memorise theories.

Now, I feel very proud of UOW Malaysia KDU Penang University College’s achievements which steps up to industry standards and world-class studies. The classrooms and labs are very well equipped and help students establish themselves into the digital era. As a Computer Science student, the campus helped me a lot in my path to embrace the digital world. I’m very glad to have chosen UOW Malaysia KDU Penang University College because it’s instrumental in the development of my career.
