UOW Malaysia KDU became the first education institution in Malaysia to award the MPC with the UOW Malaysia KDU Fitspiration Scholarship amount to RM500, 000. The scholarship is not only open to Malaysian para-athletes but also to South East Asia. The scholarship presentation was held at the UOW Malaysia KDU Fitspiration Day (13th October 2016, where Paralympic gold medallist Mohamad Ridzuan Mohamad Puzi made a special appearance.
