On 4 March, 41 Bachelor of Accountancy students at UOW Malaysia KDU Penang University College participated in an Industry Adjunct Sharing Session under the Industry Adjunct Speaker Series, featuring Ms Beverley Khoo, Audit Partner at OA GoC.

In her talk, “Working in Singapore: A CPA Firm Perspective,” Ms Khoo provided students with a realistic and well-rounded perspective on pursuing an audit career in Singapore. The session covered key practical areas, including salary benchmarks, cost of living, and career progression, as well as differences between working in Malaysia and Singapore in terms of workplace culture, performance standards, and long-term career development opportunities.

By bridging classroom learning with regional industry expectations, the session provided meaningful exposure that empowered students to make informed career decisions and better prepare for opportunities in the accounting profession.
