The Alumni Homecoming 2025 held on 21 November 2025 at the UOW Malaysia KDU Penang University College, George Town Campus, was a resounding success, bringing together more than 200 alumni, staff, and students for a truly memorable evening.

The event’s objective was clear: to reconnect and engage with alumni in a meaningful way, honouring the rich legacy of KDU while ushering in the new chapter for UOW Malaysia KDU Penang University College. The evening certainly achieved this, with alumni flying in from as far as Oman, Germany, Thailand, Indonesia, South Korea, and China specifically to attend.

The program commenced with a warm networking session, allowing alumni to immediately reconnect with former classmates, lecturers, and friends. This atmosphere of joyful reunion was further cemented when Vice Chancellor, Prof Dr Chong Beng Keok, officially opened the event with a heartfelt welcome speech.

Guests were then transported back in time through a series of engaging flashback videos that celebrated the defining moments of their student days at the institution’s various iterations:

• “Where Our Best Memories Began at Kolej Damansara Utama”
• “The Memories We Made at KDU College”
• “Moments to Remember at KDU Penang University College”

A key highlight of the night was the Alumni Sharing Sessions. Several alumni took the stage to share their personal and professional journeys, offering inspiring reflections on how their time at KDU shaped their growth and careers. The evening concluded with a powerful moment that symbolised the institution’s onward journey. The video “A New Chapter Begins – UOW Malaysia KDU Penang University College” was presented, honouring the past while celebrating the bright future of UOW Malaysia KDU Penang.

Attendees left not only with renewed connections but also with complimentary gifts, including UOW Malaysia KDU T-shirts, caps, mugs, and other memorabilia, as a token of appreciation for their enduring connection and support. The event officially ended, following a lively final networking and photography session.

The Alumni Homecoming 2025 was a poignant reminder of the strength of the UOW Malaysia KDU community and the enduring legacy that continues to inspire current and future generations.
