On 25 June 2026, 37 students from UOW Malaysia KDU Penang University College (UOWMKDU Penang) and the University of Lincoln, UK Summer Program embarked on a day of experiential learning through two enriching industrial visits — to EasyParcel Sdn Bhd in Bayan Lepas and The George Penang by The Crest Collection in Georgetown.

At EasyParcel, students were warmly hosted by Mr Clarence Leong, Founder & CEO, who shared his inspiring entrepreneurial journey from startup beginnings to leading one of Southeast Asia’s foremost smart delivery platforms. His story highlighted resilience, adaptability, and the courage to embrace challenges. Students from UOWMKDU Penang gained first‑hand exposure to EasyParcel’s innovative business model, workplace culture, and the dynamic logistics and e‑commerce industry. Mr Clarence encouraged them to remain curious, adopt a growth mindset, and continuously upskill to thrive in today’s evolving workplace.

At The George Penang by The Crest Collection, the same group of students (excluding five from the Bachelor of Computing program) experienced the world of premium hospitality. Guided by Mr Bryan Wong, Sales & Marketing Manager, and the hotel’s dedicated team, they explored key operational areas and learned how different departments collaborate to deliver exceptional guest experiences. The visit emphasised service excellence, attention to detail, teamwork, and the diverse career opportunities within hospitality and tourism.

Together, these visits bridged classroom learning with real‑world practice, broadening UOWMKDU Penang students’ global perspectives while preparing them to become confident, future‑ready professionals.
