On the 28th of February 2023, the UOW Malaysia’s Student & Alumni Centre organised an Aston Martin Kuala Lumpur Showroom Tour Visit with 12 UOW Malaysia students. This visit lasted approximately two hours. The tour was meant to give students new knowledge and luxury car exposure. We also enjoyed meeting Mr. Kumara Sooriar Sivanasan, General Manager of Aston Martin Kuala Lumpur.

All students who attended boarded the vehicle at 10 a.m. from the UOW Malaysia Glenmarie Campus and arrived at the Aston Martin Kuala Lumpur Showroom at approximately 11 a.m.

The session starts with Ms. Cindy from Student and Alumni presenting the students, followed by Mr. Kumara and the employees introducing themselves. Afterward, Mr. Kumara told us more about Aston Martin’s past and how it came to be established. This teaches us a reasonable amount regarding Aston Martin and its success tale. They also offered a small quiz for students to complete to test their understanding of Aston Martin.

Following the process, we went on a showroom visit where the staff displayed all Aston Martin cars and showed the interior as well as the exterior of each vehicle. The team also tested the engine’s sound for students, leaving them amazed. After that, there was a certificate and token of gratitude presentation event and a photo shoot to commemorate the occasion.

“We thoroughly enjoyed the entire session because it was both amusing and instructive, with Mr. Kumara fully describing the background of Aston Martin,” said Brian from the School of Engineering. “I’m grateful that I have the golden opportunity to attend this event and get the chance to meet Mr. Kumara and see the luxury vehicles with our own eyes.”
