On 17 April 2025, Diploma in Early Childhood Education (DECE) lecturers and students from UOW Malaysia embarked on an enriching industrial visit to Taska & Tadika Bitara, located at the National Child Development Research Centre (NCDRC), Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI). This visit provided a vital opportunity for 15 DECE students to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application in high-quality early childhood education settings.
The day commenced with an insightful briefing session led by Dr Intan Farhana (Senior Lecturer at the Department of Early Childhood Education, Faculty of Human Development, UPSI), who offered valuable perspectives on the centre’s mission, programmes, and its crucial role in early childhood development. This engaging session fostered meaningful interaction and knowledge exchange among participants.
Following the briefing, students were given a comprehensive tour of the Taska and Tadika facilities. They observed daily activities, explored various learning environments, and gained first-hand exposure to teaching methodologies tailored for different age groups. The visit concluded with an exploration of the NCDRC library, granting students access to a wide array of academic resources pertinent to early childhood education and research.
