On 28 January 2026, UOW Malaysia KDU Penang University College kicked off its first industry visit of the year with an enriching engagement at UWC Berhad, a leading precision engineering group, delivering high-precision CNC machining, sheet metal fabrication and advanced assembly solutions.

A total of 52 attendees, comprising final-year Computing students and accompanied by Dr Wong Khang Siang, Head of the Department of Computing; Dr Justtina Anantha Jothi a/p John C.M.E., Program Leader (Diploma); Dr Nor Rahayu Binti Ngatirin, Program Leader (Degree); and Anna Lim Siew Fang, Industry Engagement & Career Services Senior Manager, participated in the visit.

The program featured an informative plant tour, engaging sharing sessions, and meaningful mentoring interactions. Students gained valuable insights into real-world industry practices, emerging trends, and the professional competencies required in today’s technology-driven environment.
