George Town, 13 December 2018 – THERE are many feats deemed improbable to achieve, like playing for the American National Basketball Association, becoming the President of United States, or getting a perfect score for Mathematics in the Cambridge AS-Level examination. However, one student succeeded in achieving one of them.

Teh Yu Xuan, a Science student from UOW Malaysia KDU Penang University College (UOW Malaysia KDU Penang) was recently bestowed the ‘Top in the World’ award under the Outstanding Cambridge Learner Awards 2018 for his AS-Level Mathematics examination, which he scored 100%.

He received this prestigious award from Cambridge Assessment International Education for his outstanding performance in the June 2018 Cambridge examination series for AS-Level Mathematics.

“Passion and practice are two main important things that will lead you to get what you want.

Practice your passion and achieve your dream,” said Yu.

This 19-year-old student said he loves Mathematics since primary school and enjoys the challenges. When asked if he will continue his path in Mathematics, he said, “I might pursue my study in Pure Mathematics or Applied Mathematics in the future.”

According to Yu Xuan, the study environment in UOW Malaysia KDU Penang University College is conducive and the schedule arrangement was reasonable which provides a really good platform for his studies.
