Professional polish met personal power as 44 students from UOW Malaysia KDU Penang participated in the Industry Adjunct Speaker Series: Personal Branding & Business Etiquette Workshop, held on 30 September 2025 across UOW Malaysia KDU Penang’s Batu Kawan and George Town campuses.

Jointly hosted by the Career & Placement Centre and Alliance Bank Malaysia Berhad, the workshop was led by two dynamic speakers:

• Ms Ken-Ann A/P Seroop Singh, Assistant Vice President, Talent Attraction, People and Culture, Group Human Resources, and
• Ms Kelly Kok Pei Jing, Manager, Talent Attraction, People and Culture, Group Human Resources, both from Alliance Bank Malaysia Berhad.

Through engaging discussions and real-world examples, the speakers shared practical strategies for building a strong personal brand, mastering business etiquette, and communicating with impact — whether face to face, over the phone, or via email.

Students also explored the art of professional grooming, social media etiquette, and workplace adaptability, gaining valuable insights into organisational culture, time management, and professional conduct. The interactive workshop inspired participants to build both their personal and professional brands, equipping them with essential soft skills for career success.
