Student Representative Council (SRC), concluded with a spectacular Grand Final on 30 July 2026 at the Drama Room, Batu Kawan Campus. Following a competitive preliminary round on 2 July, the event welcomed 100 attendees, including staff, students, family members and friends, who gathered to celebrate the musical spirit of the UOW Malaysia KDU Penang University College (UOWMKDU Penang) community.

Finalists delivered captivating performances before a distinguished panel of judges, including Mr Alec Foong (Recording Artist & Actor) and Professor Dr Chong Beng Keok (Vice Chancellor, UOWMKDU Penang). Contestants impressed with their vocal abilities, confidence and stage presence, creating an inspiring and entertaining evening for all attendees.

The event featured memorable highlights, including a special performance by guest judge Alec Foong, an award presentation ceremony recognising winners across categories, and appreciation for the dedicated organising committee. Through their performances, participants showcased their courage, creativity and passion for music while strengthening the sense of community across campus.

The success of the Stars Vocalist Competition 2026 underscores the university’s commitment to fostering artistic expression, building self-confidence and enriching campus life through music and cultural celebration.
