We were delighted to welcome the Honourable Julian Hill MP, Australia’s Assistant Minister for Citizenship, Customs and Multicultural Affairs and Assistant Minister for International Education, to the University of Wollongong Malaysia (UOW Malaysia) Glenmarie Campus on 4 August 2026, alongside HE Danielle Heinecke, Australian High Commissioner to Malaysia, and officials from the Australian Government Department of Education, the Department of Home Affairs, and the Australian High Commission.

During the visit, UOW Malaysia leaders guided the delegation on a tour of the School of Hospitality, Tourism and Culinary Arts, strengthened ties over a brunch meeting, and welcomed them to the ANCORS SEA Maritime Institute, where the Minister and High Commissioner engaged in an interactive Q&A session with a class of maritime students, exchanging perspectives on international education and multicultural collaboration.
