UOW Malaysia: A Top Choice for Employers in 2026

By UOW Malaysia

UOW Malaysia has been recognised in the Talentbank Employers’ Choice 2026. This accolade reaffirms that our graduates are highly sought after by top employers, who continue to view UOW Malaysia as a premier talent pipeline.

Part of Talentbank’s nationwide Graduate Employability Index, this recognition is driven by insights from 1,215 leading graduate employers across Malaysia, assessed through 30 structured questions. Fully data-driven and 100% determined by employers, the index is built entirely on actual employer behaviour—capturing hiring preferences, graduate recruitment volumes, and the likelihood of repeat employment. This makes the recognition a compelling validation of UOW Malaysia’s consistent ability to develop graduates who are not only academically strong, but immediately effective in the workplace.

Adding further distinction, several UOW Malaysia disciplines—Architecture & Building, Arts & Design, Games Design & Development, and Interior Design—were awarded the prestigious Talentbank 6-Star Employer Choice. This distinction is reserved for programmes ranked within the Top 5 in their respective categories based on employer validation, placing them among the top-performing programmes nationwide within their fields. Importantly, these rankings benchmark private institutions against other private institutions, underscoring UOW Malaysia’s strong standing among its peers.

Together, these achievements reflect the University’s unwavering commitment to an education model that blends academic excellence with immersive, real-world learning. They also highlight the journeys of its students—shaped by industry engagement, personal development, and hands-on application that prepare them for meaningful careers.

UOW Malaysia was represented at the Talentbank Graduate Employability Index 2026 ceremony, held on 11 April 2026 at the Four Seasons Hotel Kuala Lumpur, by Professor Dr Hon Wei Min, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic), who received the recognition on behalf of the University.

As UOW Malaysia continues to deepen its industry partnerships and evolve its academic offerings, this recognition stands as a strong affirmation of its mission: to produce graduates who are ready to make an impact.
