UOW Malaysia Student Among Gymnastics World Cup Mixed Team Champion!

The Malaysia Aesthetic Group Gymnastics Association (MAGGA) Cup / IFAGG World Cup Finals took place on 23–24 October 2025 at Dewan Sri Putra, Bukit Jalil, bringing together 200 attendees including gymnasts, judges, and coaches for two days of high-calibre international competition. Participating countries included the host nation Malaysia, as well as Russia, Kazakhstan, Japan, China, Korea, Kyrgyzstan and Singapore, underscoring the event’s strong global presence.

The competition celebrated teamwork, artistry and athletic excellence, while providing an important platform to promote aesthetic group gymnastics internationally and elevate standards within Malaysia. A major highlight was the exceptional performance of the Malaysia Senior Mixed Team, who secured 1st place and delivered a proud moment on home soil.

Among the winning team was Natasha Ho Zhi-Ying, a student from UOW Malaysia (Diploma in Physiotherapy, School of Nursing and Allied Health). As part of the Malaysia Senior Mixed Team, her contribution reflected dedication, discipline and the power of collective performance, demonstrating how student-athletes can excel at the highest level while pursuing their academic goals.

The winning team was celebrated on the podium by Yang Hormat Dato’ Haji Abdul Malek Mohamed Noor (Guest of Honour) and IFAGG President, Liliia Morozova. The team’s victory reinforced Malaysia’s growing reputation on the international aesthetic gymnastics stage and inspired the next generation of athletes to strive for excellence.
