Ir. Ts. Ainon Shakila Shamsuddin is a Lecturer at the School of Engineering, UOW Malaysia. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (Power) from UTM (1998) and a Master’s degree in Engineering Management from UiTM (2010). A registered Professional Engineer (Electronic) with the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) and a Professional Technologist with the Malaysia Board of Technologists (MBOT).

Combining her passion for academia with extensive industry experience, she brings over 7 years of experience in educational institutions and boasts more than 14 years in R&D, Manufacturing, and Audit Management. Prior to her academic career, she held the position of Senior Engineer and Team Leader at Panasonic Appliances Air-Conditioning R&D Malaysia Sdn. Bhd.

In addition, she also has 3 years working experience as a Quality Assurance Supervisor at Steggles Poultry Pty Ltd, Hawthorne St,2322 Beresfield in New South Wales, Australia where she actively participates in both Internal and External Audits.

Demonstrating her dedication to the engineering profession, Ir. Ts. Ainon has actively participated with the Institute of Engineers Malaysia (IEM) for five consecutive terms. She currently serves on the Engineering Education Technical Division (E2TD) committee.

As a Safety Coordinator for School of Engineering she lead “The Safety and Health Towards IR4.0”, Exhibition and Competition Event that was organized by School of Engineering, and received Team Collaboration Award.

Besides that, she was an invited panellist for forum at Taylor’s University, organized by the Empowered Women Engineers Club.

Her current research interest includes Sustainable Power Grid Systems, Fault Analysis, Hybrid Renewable Energy Systems, Electric Verhicles, Optimization in Induction Motor Design.
