Dr How Heoy Geok is a lecturer in the School of Engineering, Computing and Built Environment, UOW Malaysia KDU Penang University College. She obtained her PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Universiti Malaya (UM). Also, she received her MSc in Mechanical and Materials Engineering and B.Eng degree in Manufacturing Engineering from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM).

Her research interests include combustion & fuel engineering, biofuels, tribology, automotive and internal combustion engines. She has published in a number of high impact journals and conference proceedings in the field of renewable energy and alternative fuels.

Her research excellence has been recognized with several best paper awards and research excellence awards at her institution. Dr. How is a regular reviewer for several reputable journals published by Elsevier and other publishers. In addition, she serves as a session chair at conferences and as a thesis examiner for master’s students within her institution.
