She obtained her PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Universiti Malaya (UM). Also, she received her MSc in Mechanical and Materials Engineering and B.Eng degree in Manufacturing Engineering from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM). Her research interests include combustion & fuel engineering, biofuels, tribology, automotive and internal combustion engines. She has published in a number of high impact journals and conference proceedings in the field of renewable energy and alternative fuels. She is serving as a journal reviewer for renowned local scholarly journals and international journals from Elsevier.
