Dr. Nisha is a highly motivated and passionate lecturer in the School of Engineering at the University of Wollongong, Malaysia. She is a registered Graduate Engineer with the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) and the Institute of Engineers Malaysia (IEM), and she is in the final stages of obtaining her Professional Engineering and Certified Sustainability Practitioner certification. As a research-driven academician, Dr. Nisha continuously challenges herself and explores new sustainable and green materials.

Her dedication to research has resulted in numerous publications in indexed journals and conference proceedings reflects her positive trajectory as an early-career researcher. Notably, her recent publications are focused on high-quality journals indexed in Scopus and Web of Science (WOS)/ISI. Securing various grants, including government grants, collaborative external grants, industry grants, international grants, and internal grants, is remarkable, with a total grant amount exceeding RM300,000. Notable grants include the Fundamental Research Grant Scheme Malaysia (FRGS), Geran Putra, UOW Malaysia Internal Grants, and an industrial grant from Paramount Corporation Berhad.

In addition, she serves as the Malaysian representative at the Women’s Research Engineers Network (WREN). Through her involvement in WREN, she advocates for diversity and inclusivity, paving the way for future generations of aspiring engineers. Her commitment to both academic excellence and the advancement of women in engineering underscores her significant contributions to the field.
