Associate Professor Dr Sim Hock Kheng Email: [email protected] Dr. Sim Hock Kheng is an Associate Professor at the Department of Engineering, UOW Malaysia KDU Penang University College. Previously, he served as a Senior Lecturer and Program Coordinator in a private university. He received his PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Multimedia University in 2015. He has published numerous books, international journals, and conference papers in his research area. He has completed his supervision with five postgraduate students. His research interests mainly include operations management, quality costing, and quality improvement, Six Sigma methodology, creative thinking, and high value manufacturing. Over the years, he has engaged in various industry related projects by improving the quality and manufacturing performances. He worked closely with the industry from time to time, bringing quality and productivity improvement in the manufacturing and service industry. Dr. Sim is also a PSMB certified trainer and has conducted productivity related trainings for local and multinational corporations. He is keen to share his knowledge and expertise, support the industry, lead the team to make breakthrough process improvements, and reduce non-value activity for cost reduction.
