9th EUReS ENGINEERING RESEARCH SYMPOSIUM 24th & 25th NOVEMBER 2026 UNIVERSITY OF WOLLONGONG MALAYSIA Welcome to the 9th Engineering Undergraduate Research Symposium (EUReS 2026) The 9th Engineering Undergraduate Research Symposium (EUReS 2026), themed “Bridging Research and Reality: Engineering Smart Innovations for a Sustainable Tomorrow,” brings together students, researchers, academics, and industry professionals to share knowledge, showcase innovative research, and foster collaboration in engineering and technology. This year’s symposium consists of two exciting events. On 24 November 2026, the EUReS Conference will feature research presentations and knowledge-sharing sessions, providing participants with an opportunity to present their research findings in prestige and indexed journal and engage in academic discussions. On 25 November 2026, the EUReS Innovation Competition will showcase innovative engineering projects and creative solutions, where participants will demonstrate their ideas and compete for recognition. Each paper must be original and unpublished work, has not been submitted for other publication elsewhere. The authors must not indicate their names, affiliations and acknowledgements in the body of submitted paper. The authors only give their personal information during the online submission. A peer review process will be used to evaluate all papers submitted for consideration. If a paper is accepted, at least one author need to register and present the paper. All papers submitted must follow the 9th EUReS Conference format which can be downloaded – Download here. Each team will be provided with one table (1500mm x 600mm x 760mm) to display their innovation and related materials. Participants are responsible for arranging and managing their own display within the allocated space. Participants may prepare additional materials to support their presentation, such as posters, brochures, pamphlets, banners, photographs, or other relevant supporting materials, provided that these do not interfere with other participants’ exhibition spaces. Participants are required to present and explain their innovation to the judges during the designated judging session. The presentation should clearly communicate the problem addressed, proposed solution, innovation, functionality, and potential impact of the project. All exhibits, prototypes, equipment, and demonstration activities must be safe and suitable for public exhibition. Participants are responsible for the safe operation and supervision of their exhibits throughout the competition. Participants must set up their exhibition within the designated time and are responsible for dismantling and removing all materials after the competition. Since its inception, EUReS has served as a vibrant forum for knowledge sharing, encouraging students to present their research findings, exchange ideas, and develop essential communication and professional skills while engaging with academics and industry professionals.
