Centre for Pre-University Studies lecturer Mr. Ong Song Quan conducted a talk on how to protect ourselves from the Zika Virus epidemic. Ong, who is also a PhD candidate in Medical and Veterinary Entomology (USM), Master in Medical Entomology, shared methods on how to avoid mosquito bites while educating the public about Zika virus and Aedes. Among the key points of the talk were the type of mosquitoes species which can inflict harm on us, symptoms of Zika infections and also ways to prevent mosquito breeding within the household.
