Graduates can pursue the post of Interior Architects in architecture and design practices from all over Malaysia or pursue careers in private interior architecture consultation specializing in residential, retail, workplace, or hospitality. Our interior architecture degree is professionally recognised by the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA).

 

What is Interior Architecture?

Interior Architecture looks at the interior and how it functions in terms of human occupancy. It is a blend of art and science to design, create or restore the interior of buildings, including workspaces, offices, homes, and other types of spaces. Interior architecture also includes the adaptive re-use of indoor spaces. 

 

What is the difference between Interior Design and Interior Architecture?

While there is definitely overlap between Interior Design and Interior Architecture, here are some things about the latter that set it apart:

  • Interior Architecture focuses on structural renovations with architects and interior designers dealing with the technical part of the design process. 
  • Interior Designers usually work with contractors, technicians and others who are involved with building and/or renovation. 
  • All Architects need a license to practice architecture. This includes Interior designers who will be registered designers.
