Ben Wang Ben Wang MBA, BSc (Hons) Ben Wang is an experienced marketer in banking, insurance and education industries. He holds an MBA qualification from the School of Graduate Studies, Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM). He is teaching in several reputable education institutions focused on areas such as management, business analysis, marketing and entrepreneurship. He is committed towards student success and coaches students on relevant exam techniques in passing exams. Bryan Chan Bryan Chan C.A.(M), FCCA, Masters in Accountancy & Finance Bryan Chan is a Fellow member of Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA, UK). He is also a chartered accountant of Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA). Besides, Bryan is also a HRD Corp Accredited trainer. He holds a Master Degree major in Accountancy and Finance from the Birmingham City University, UK and graduated from Tunku Abdul Rahman University of Management and Technology, Malaysia with the Advanced Diploma in Commerce (Financial Accounting). Chan Tze Kang Chan Tze Kang FCCA, BFP ACA, CA(M) Apart from being a Head of Professional Accountancy Centre, Chan has been delivering the Strategic Performance Management and Strategic Financial Management subjects for various professional accountancy programs such as ACCA, CAT, CIMA, QP (HK) for more than 20 years. Being internationally exposed, Chan has taught in countries like Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Vietnam, China, Hong Kong and Uganda. Chua Sing Ping Chua Sing Ping MBA, BBus Sing Ping holds an MBA (International) from Edith Cowan University, Perth, Western Australia. She also holds a Bachelor Degree in Business with a major in Finance and minor in Economics from Edith Cowan University, Perth, Western Australia. She was from PwC with vast experiences of the corporate world specialising in taxation works including business advisory, consultations and troubleshooting involving multinational companies, foreign owned companies, and public listed companies. She has lecturing experiences of more than 10 years. She is mainly lecturing ACCA and CAT courses as well as degree programs. She specializes in lecturing ACCA Paper P6 (MYS) – Advanced Taxation, ACCA F6 (MYS) – Taxation, FTX (MYS) – Foundations in Taxation (MYS) and Economics for degree programs. Dr. Christine Yap Yee Ming Dr. Christine Yap Yee Ming PhD, MSc, FCCA, CA (M) Christine has 12 years of industrial working experience, including holding positions such as Finance Manager and Accounting Manager in foreign MNCs. She has 18 years of teaching experience in Bachelor Degrees and Professional Certificates such as ACCA, CIMA, CPA Australia and ICAEW in Malaysia, Singapore and China.Her expertise is Strategic Business Reporting, Strategic Business Leader, Strategic Management Accounting as well as Financial and Management Accounting. Edan Tham Kian Tung Edan Tham Kian Tung FCCA Edan has been involved in audit services under one of the Big 4 Audit Firms after completing his ACCA studies. He then decided to switch her profession to academic sector, as he felt that being an educator is where he can find his value and it is also something that he wished to do. He also has experience in dealing with corporate clients as well as colleague from different backgrounds, he believes all these practical experience and real-life examples are something that he can share with the students and students can therefore benefit from these experiences. Kiran Singh Wathan Kiran Singh Wathan MBA (Leicester), LL.M (UM), LL.B(Hons) (London) Harkiran Wathan has a double Masters – Master of Law (LL.M) from University of Malaya and Master of Business Administration (MBA) from University of Leicester, UK. He also has Bachelor of Laws (Honours) (LL.B (Hons.)) from University of London, UK. He has more than 20 years of teaching experience at the tertiary level. Kok Shwu Jiun Kok Shwu Jiun ACCA Shwu Jiun has been involved in tax services under an ACCA Approved Employer after completing her ACCA studies. She then decided to switch her profession to academic sector, as being an educator is what she always wished to do. With her experience dealing with both individual and corporate clients, she believes that practical experience and real-life examples are the perfect teaching tools. She is committed in creating a stimulating and encouraging classroom atmosphere to her students. Lau Ee Mei Lau Ee Mei ICSA Ee Mei is an experienced cost and management lecturer who has been teaching the cost and management subjects for more than 20 years. Providing students with full understanding on the topics is always her concern. She had managed to assist her students in winning the world prizes for these two subjects in LCCI. Her dedication and commitment in lecturing has made her one of the favourite lecturer who maintains a good relationship with her students. Lee Tze Yang Lee Tze Yang ACCA, CA(M) Tze Yang is an experienced and dedicated lecturer with more than 4 years of lecturing experience. He specializes in teaching the ACCA papers on Financial Reporting (FR), Audit and Assurance (AA), Strategic Business Reporting (SBR) as well as Advanced Audit and Assurance (AAA). Apart from maintaining a high pass rates among his students for the ACCA exams, his notable achievement includes producing a student who scored Malaysia number one in the subject Strategic Business Reporting (SBR) in the ACCA September 2021 sitting. Prior to becoming a lecturer, Tze Yang works in one of the Big 4 accounting firms and he has experience in areas involving accounting, auditing, taxation and payroll. He is also involved in providing consultation and advisory services to both corporate and individual clients. His practical experience has enabled him to simplify complicated concepts which allows students to easily understand the relevant subject matters and apply the knowledge in exam. Mr. Ng KT Mr. Ng KT CA (M), MBA Mr. Ng Kian Tuck is a Chartered Accountant (CA) of the Malaysia Institute of Accountants (MIA), and a graduate of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), UK. He holds a Master in Business Administration conferred by Edinburgh Business School, Heriot-Watt University. He is also an Oxford Brookes University’s registered mentor and a certified HRD Corp trainer. Mr. Ng has been exposed to various fields and industry through the employment in audit firm over seven years, mainly on corporate reporting, tax audits and trainings. Due to his passion in training, and in order to pursue higher achievement, Mr. Ng left audit practice some years ago to go full-time in professional training and education. Nicholas Chua Nicholas Chua FCCA, CA(M) Nicholas graduated from Tunku Abdul Rahman University of Management & Technology majoring in Accountancy. He is currently pursuing his Master Degree in Putra Business School (PBS), majoring in Master in Corporate Governance. Nicholas is currently specialized in risk management, corporate governance & business analysis in the corporate world. Nicholas Lim Nicholas Lim FCCA, CA(M) After completing his ACCA qualification in 2003, Nicholas Lim has been involved in audit and assurance services for several years. Besides audit, the job has exposed him to various assignment in the field of accounting, tax etc encompassing different industries listed on the Bursa Malaysia. In 2008, Nicholas decided to switch to lecturing. Tan holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics and Management from the University of London. She has 19 years of lecturing experience in LCCI, ACCA and A-levels, as well as 21 years of private tutoring experience in Accounting, Economics and English. Seetha Shanmugavel Seetha Shanmugavel Ms. Seetha has nearly a decade of teaching experience for several professional accountancy qualifications with a specialized focus on financial management, financial planning and strategic business management. She has also obtained several teaching certifications from international educational services companies that provide educational and training services to colleges, universities, businesses and individuals around the world under their ‘Train the Trainer’ programs. Ms. Seetha was a two-time invitee as a guest speaker and panelist for the Power Hour Talk organized by ACCA in 2023 and 2024. She has also taken a lead role as a subject matter expert for the papers taught and conducted in – house training to several of her colleagues at her previous academic institution. Coupled with her knowledge and insights from her work experiences in investment banking and one of the premier accounting firms, Ms. Seetha has much to offer to her students. Shamala Sukerathavan Shamala Sukerathavan FCCA Shamala started her career in a small to mid-sized accounting/audit firm, which provided her excellent insights into the practical aspects of preparing financial statements. She oversaw the end to end accounting process in respect of her clients. She then progressed her career with a major MNC and this gave her an excellent perspective on financial management i.e. budgeting, treasury operations, management information systems, etc. Shamala has always had a deep personal interest in education and in 2001 opted to leave the financial and accounting career for academia. As a lecturer with over 18 years of experience, Shamala is a strong advocate of active learning i.e. class discussions with element of real-life commercial scenarios that encourages interest in the subject matter rather than purely academic approach. This includes emphasis of past examination questions focusing on application of the accounting standards and principles rather than mere knowledge of the principles. Her ultimate goal for her students is to develop them into all rounded professionals. Stanley Yap Onn Nam Stanley Yap Onn Nam P.G.Dip.M.(U.K.), M.B.A.(U.K.), C.I.A.(U.S.A.), F.I.I.A., F.C.C.A.(U.K.), C.P.A., C.A., C.P.T.(M) Stanley Yap was trained by and qualified with Peat, Marwick, Mitchell & Co., U.K., then one of the Big-Eight international firms of Chartered Accountants in the U.K. Subsequently he graduated from the University of Bradford Management Centre, the oldest business school in the U.K., with a Master’s degree in Business Administration. Apart from being a Chartered Accountant, registered with the Malaysian Institute of Accountants; a Malaysian Certified Public Accountant; a Fellow Chartered Certified Accountant, U.K.; Stanley also holds a Post-graduate Diploma in Marketing awarded by the Chartered Institute of Marketing in the U.K. He was a Member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing, U.K.; the Association of MBA Executives Inc., U.S.A.; the American Institute of Management; the Malaysian Institute of Directors; the Malaysian Institute of Management; and, the Malaysian Institute of Human Resource Management before venturing into the academia in 2009. Stanley is the Founding President of the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) Malaysia. He is one of the few recipients of the prestigious award of F.I.I.A. from the IIA Malaysia for his invaluable contributions to the Institute and the internal auditing profession in Malaysia. He is also a Certified Internal Auditor, a post-graduate professional qualification awarded by the Institute of Internal Auditors Inc., U.S.A. Stanley has over thirty years of experience in accounting, auditing, finance, marketing and consulting. He was Vice-President Finance of the largest public-listed petrochemical company in Malaysia. Prior to that he was the General Manager, Group Corporate Services of a public-listed conglomerate; Head of Internal Audit of another 195-year old public-listed conglomerate; and, the oldest foreign bank in Malaysia. These conglomerates have interests in financial services, plantations, oil and gas, property and construction, manufacturing, engineering, trading, retailing, travel and tour, shipping, advertising and security, marketing and distribution, leisure, food and beverage, international operations and education. In Operations, Sales and Marketing, Stanley was Group Chief Operating Officer of a public-listed company on the main board; and, Chief Operating Officer of a public-listed Multi-Level Marketing Company in Malaysia for over six years. In consulting, Stanley was previously the Chief Executive Officer of a firm that specializes in Corporate Governance, Risk Management, Business Process Re-engineering and Internal Audit Consulting Services. Apart from managing the consulting firm, Stanley also served a public-listed company as Chairman of its Audit and Nominating Committees for a few years. Stanley will impart his knowledge and share his experiences gained over the years as Chairman of Audit Committee; Chief Internal Auditor; Group Chief Operating Officer; Vice-President Finance, and as Senior Academic in a few renowned foreign university business schools with participants of this program. Tan Vooi Giap Tan Vooi Giap CA, FCCA, FCIS AIDPM, PGCert (UCLA) Tan has earned high student evaluations with his innovative and effective teaching techniques. Teo Yung Chian Teo Yung Chian ACMA, CGMA, CFE, CA (M) Teo graduated from the Athlone Institute of Technology (Ireland) with a master degree in business. He is the associate member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) and the member of Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE) and Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA). He has been a volunteer teacher for a Paris-based online educational institution to facilitate student for SAT exam preparation. He is passionate in teaching and has been tutoring Business Mathematics foundation subject, secondary school and primary school students. Besides, he is also a freelance writer of Standard 4 KSSR-Semakan study materials for an online educational institution. He is currently a freelance script marker for the marking team of an UK-based CIMA tuition provider. Wong Paik Wan Wong Paik Wan FCCA, CA(M), ACTIM Paik Wan has more than 10 years of practical experience in the audit and assurance services and commercial sector and is exposed in the fields of financial accounting, financial management, secretarial practices, and taxation as well as other areas of management including human resources. In 2003, she made a career change and decided to venture into the academic world. She lectures in financial accounting and taxation for professional courses i.e. CAT and ACCA. Paik Wan is a caring, friendly, committed and dedicated lecturer. She possesses a great passion for teaching and caring demeanour towards her students. Paik Wan is a Fellow Member of The Association of Chartered Certificate Accountants (FCCA), an Associate Member of the Chartered Tax Institute of Malaysia (ACTIM) and a Chartered Accountant of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (CA). She is also the registered mentor of the ACCA Oxford Brookes University Research and Analysis Project. Wong Wai Lim Wong Wai Lim C.A.(M), FCCA Wong Wai Lim is a Chartered Certified Accountant with extensive experience in compliance, finance, IT, operations, and process design, gained through various roles in the Asia-Pacific region. He has contributed to several notable projects, such as developing and deploying an in-house account reconciliation tool at IBM, which was later replicated in the EMEA region. Wong has over a decade of working experience with organizations like VDC Data Centers, ACCA Malaysia, and IBM, where he held key managerial roles overseeing internal audits, compliance, and financial operations.
