Ms. Sumiko Cheng Chun Yi is a senior lecturer cum program leader at UOW Malaysia KDU Penang University College, School of Business. She is interested in business management, human resources, psychology, education e-learning, marketing, tech-tourism, and hospitality. She has won a few awards and honors from 2018 to 2025, such as the Teaching Award Winner 2018, the Innovation Award Winner 2020, and the Teaching Excellence Award 2024 at the university level.

She has also received Special Recognition Awards, Most Likes on YouTube Channel (2021 STAR Award Challenge Campaign) at the university level, the Global Inspiring Women’s Award 2020 at the international level, and EBSCOhost Game Winner (Runner-up winner) 2024. She is an independent learner, forward thinker, a tech-sensitive and adaptive innovator who is willing to learn and explore new things, using AI in teaching and learning. She has published her works in a few journals.
