Geetha is a dedicated academic and researcher at University of Wollongong Malaysia with over 25 years of professional experience in management, entrepreneurship, marketing, and business development across diverse industries. Her research interests focus on sustainability, heritage, consumer behaviour, and strategic business development, with a strong emphasis on industry- and community-driven initiatives that support sustainable development and organisational growth.

Key achievements: –

1. Leading the Postgraduate Student Recruitment and Business Development Department at Taylor’s University, where Geetha played a key role in strengthening postgraduate recruitment by attracting scholars from around the world into the university’s master’s and PhD programmes, significantly contributing to the growth of postgraduate enrolment.
2. She also collaborated closely with government and private organisations in Malaysia to establish strategic partnerships and recruit sponsored and corporate-sponsored students for both undergraduate and postgraduate programmes at Taylor’s University.
3. In collaboration with Taylor’s University Impact Labs, Geetha was involved in the research project aimed at supporting the B40 community in Lembah Pantai in combating and preventing the spread of dengue. The project was supported by a major corporate sponsor committed to advancing community health and sustainability initiatives.

In addition to her academic and research contributions, Geetha is passionate about nurturing future business leaders through applied learning, interdisciplinary collaboration, and meaningful industry engagement. She has further enhanced her expertise through executive education in Strategy and Business in Society at Harvard Business School.
