Professor Dr. Grace McCarthy Email: [email protected] Having retired from UOW, Grace continues to mentor and support colleagues and alumni as well as to engage in collaborative research. She also continues to be engaged in international business school accreditation processes. She is now enjoying having more time to explore the potential of Artificial Intelligence and how to harness that potential for good as well as more time to appreciate the beauty of the Illawarra, its birdlife and wildlife. While at UOW, Grace received several awards, including an Australian Government citation for Outstanding Contributions to Student Learning, and UOW Vice Chancellor’s awards for Outstanding Contributions to Teaching and Learning, Highly Commended award for Excellence in Research Supervision, a VC team award for Global Strategy and second placed team in the 2025 International Women’s Day Gender Equity Project awards. Grace has previously sat on the Boards of The Disability Trust and St. Mary’s Star of the Sea College, Wollongong. She continues to sit on the board of The Illawarra Connection. Grace also volunteers with AACSB, an international body that accredits business schools worldwide. Grace has been a member or chair of Peer Review Teams in Europe, India and Australia. She also sits on AACSB’s Continuous Improvement Review Committee which reviews reaccreditation applications from business schools around the world.
