Dr Ng Fong Chiu is an educator in UOW Malaysia, Penang campus. She is actively involved in curriculum program development and demonstrated over 20 years’ teaching experiences in UOW Malaysia which was previously known as KDU Penang University College spanning the business computing, information technology, and digital instructional course development. Part of her academic development credentials include establishing academic management responsibilities with Deakin University, Australia; Northumbria University, UK Lincoln University, National Computing Centre (NCC)- The British Education Program, UK and University of Wollongong (UOW).

Dr Ng Fong Chiu has also organized various academic events leading students to participate in the International Student Exchange Program connecting with worldwide education institutions involving China, Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Australia, Singapore, Thailand, Philippine, Bangladesh and Indonesia. In 2016, she was invited by Parent Teacher Association (PTA) of Penang Chung Ling High School as a Malaysia delegate to participate in the China Thinks Big Project by leading secondary students to visit Fudan University in Shanghai, China.

In 2017, she has been invited again by the association to lead students to visit Beijing National Day School and Peking University in Beijing, China hence, creating a splendid record of being the Malaysia Delegate for two consecutive years participating in the China Thinks Big Project. Upon returning to work, Dr Ng organized various projects and render services to the local community in Penang. Dr. Ng established close relationship with Penang education sectors and became the appointed Master of Ceremony for STEM Seminar for Teachers at national level. She was an Executive Committee for Association of Science and Mathematics Education Penang, a registered Train The Trainer and MBOT member. She has also been organized various teaching and learning programs such as Teachers Exchange Program hosting Teachers at the district and national level.
