Tan Sin Jin is senior lecturer, serving as Programme Leader for Bachelor of Electrical and Electronics Engineering with Honours in School of Engineering, University of Wollongong Malaysia. She worked in semiconductor industry before embarking her career in education. She is a Professional Engineer registered with Board of Engineer Malaysia (BEM) and member of The Institution of Engineers Malaysia (MIEM).

Her research interests are in the area of photonics, signal processing and communication systems. She currently explores novel materials for pulsed laser generation, optical sensing and optical modulation. In her leisure time, she enjoys sports.
