Professor Dr. Wilma Vialle Email: [email protected] Professor Wilma Vialle joined CSU in May 2024 as Chair of the Academic Senate and brings over 30 years’ experience in the Australian university sector, with outstanding achievements across Teaching and Learning, Research, and Governance and Service. Dr. Wilma began her academic career at the University of Wollongong in 1993 and has focused her research on giftedness, excellence, and social justice. Wilma has published extensively, supervised over 35 research students, and served on various editorial boards. She’s passionate about enhancing support for developing excellence in education and has worked with educators and families to improve resources and teacher training. Dr. Wilma held key governance roles at the University of Wollongong, including 12 years as Associate Dean and six years as Chair of the Academic Senate. From 2020 to 2023, she was Pro Vice-Chancellor Global, overseeing academic boards for offshore campuses. In 2006, she was awarded the Eminent Australian award for her contributions to gifted education.
