Dr. Tan Mei Hooi Email: [email protected] Dr. Tan Mei Hooi is a Senior Lecturer at UOW Malaysia KDU Penang University College, where she has been serving since 2007. She teaches Engineering Mathematics and Introduction to Inventive Problem Solving in Engineering, contributing significantly to academic excellence and student development. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Education (Mathematics) from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, a Master of Science in Teaching Mathematics, and a Doctor of Education in Science Education from Universiti Sains Malaysia. With over 26 years of teaching experience across secondary and tertiary education, Dr. Tan is passionate about nurturing students through both academic learning and community engagement. She actively leads STEM-related initiatives, including STEM exhibitions, science carnivals, charity events, and workshops focused on STEM, creativity, and student motivation. Dr. Tan is a certified MyTRIZ Level 1, 2, and 3 Practitioner, as well as a MyTRIZ Levels 1 and 2 Instructor. She further strengthened her expertise by obtaining the MATRIZ Level 3 Practitioner certification in 2024, demonstrating her advanced proficiency in innovation and systematic problem-solving methodologies. She is also a certified First Aider, reflecting her commitment to fostering a safe and supportive learning environment.
